Overview
A mobile app that uses artificial intelligence to tailor the most personalized content for each user. Detailed feedback from artificial intelligence helps to significantly improve language learning progress.
Project Overview
Many language learners struggle to practice speaking consistently. Tutoring can be expensive and difficult to schedule, while existing apps often provide limited personalized conversation practice and feedback.
Challenge
Research
To understand how people practice foreign languages and where current learning apps fall short, I combined secondary research with user interviews, a small survey and a competitive review.

03 - Designing the Experience
Low-pressure practice
Make speaking feel safe and easy to start
Product Principles
Personalized content
Adapt topics and recommendations to the learner’s interests
Actionable feedback
Help users understand what to improve after every conversation
Based on the research, I translated the main user needs into three product principles that guided the design.
For the first version, I prioritized the features most closely tied to the core problem: personalized content, AI speaking practice, detailed feedback and progress tracking.
Prioritizing the MVP
I started with quick sketches to explore the app structure and reduce the experience to four main areas: Home, Discover, AI Assistant and Profile. I then moved into low-fidelity wireframes to validate hierarchy and the core conversation flow before adding visual styling.
From Sketches to Flow
A dark interface with bright green accents gives the product a focused, tech-forward character while keeping primary actions highly visible.
04 - Final Experience
Personalized from the start
Short onboarding questions capture the learner’s goals and interests, allowing the app to tailor topics and recommendations from the first session.
Personalized Onboarding
A learning experience built around relevance
The home experience combines short lessons, phrases and personalized recommendations, while Discover gives learners additional content based on their interests.
Relevant Daily Content
AI Conversation
Low-pressure speaking practice
Users choose a real-life topic and practice speaking with an AI conversation partner. Voice input keeps the interaction close to real conversation without the pressure of speaking to another person.
Feedback after every session
After the conversation, users receive actionable feedback on their performance and areas to improve.
Making improvement visible
Progress, learning statistics, saved content and courses are collected in one place so users can see how their practice develops over time.
